Growing up in front of the TV, I’ve long been fascinated by the image of Mickey Mouse, both as a childhood hero and as a Pop icon. My slick and playful take on the iconic Disney character aims to capture the joy and wide-eyed wonderment of my own youth. The exuberant sentiment behind the statement ‘Go Lucky’ is a cheeky wink toward Walt Disney’s own stroke of luck in gaining inspiration for Mickey Mouse from a chance encounter with a tame mouse at his desk at Laugh-O-Gram Studio in 1925.SOLD
