Artist Biography
Vincent Arnold is a Canadian contemporary artist from Sherbrooke, Québec whose work blends graphic figuration, pop culture, satire, and psychological tension into bold, instantly recognizable paintings. With a background in fine arts and graphic design, Arnold developed a visual language shaped by digital culture, advertising aesthetics, and contemporary masculinity.
His paintings often feature exaggerated characters, consumer symbols, junk food, sports references, and emotionally awkward social situations rendered in flat colour, sharp compositions, and hyper-saturated palettes. Beneath the humour and absurdity, the work explores themes of identity, insecurity, consumerism, and the strange performance of modern life.
Arnold has exhibited internationally in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia, with exhibitions and projects through galleries and platforms including Thinkspace Projects, Lorin Gallery, Galerie Zberro, Eve Leibe Gallery, and 19 Karen Contemporary Artspace. Alongside his studio practice, he has built a strong public art presence through murals, live painting events, and commercial collaborations across Québec and Montréal.
His work sits within the growing international movement of contemporary figurative and New Contemporary painting, balancing commercial immediacy with sharp cultural observation.
