ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Szabina Gore’s paintings transform interior spaces into intimate reflections of the human psyche. Through carefully composed objects, shifting light and evocative shadows, she creates enigmatic environments that suggest memory, emotion and the unconscious. Working with encaustic, Gore builds translucent layers of wax that add depth, complexity and a sense of psychological tension to her compositions. Her uninhabited interiors become contemporary cabinets of curiosities, where everyday objects carry symbolic meaning and familiar spaces feel quietly surreal. Rather than offering definitive narratives, Gore’s paintings invite viewers to explore their own memories, desires and interpretations, revealing the emotional worlds hidden within seemingly ordinary spaces.
