BIOGRAPHY
Sarah Rowe grew up in Adelaide, South Australia on Moresby Street, which later became the moniker for her art and textile brand known as ‘Miss Moresby.’ Now located in Eltham Victoria, Rowe takes inspiration from the natural surroundings, characteristic of both towns, to create her intricate organic designs.
Painting and textile design have been life-long passions, where Rowe is led by the visual play between pattern and colour. Within her mesmerizing composition, the artist weaves the narrative that embodies her internal world, and to tremendous sensory affect. As the viewer, you become entranced with purity of work that is contradicted by confident execution. Both decorative and representative of contemporary expressive art, Rowe, aka Miss Moresby, offers collectors work that will aesthetically please and engage.
Miss Moresby has participated in several group exhibitions within Australia and was awarded winner of The Kip & Co ‘Art Series 2021’ prize.
