Bastian Allfrey (Australia) is an experienced artist with a passion for creating captivating murals that leave a lasting impression. His work makes lasting connections by drawing audiences into the image and enveloping them in the narrative with grandeur and awe. The artist builds spaces, creates stories and forges bonds with his audience through his public commissions and studio work.

Allfrey has a clear talent for interpreting the human experience with joyous flair. Taking in a frenetic swirl of stories, and in an osmatic shift, he translates them into irrefutably beautiful imagery that is succinct and directly felt.

Like a hidden ingredient, Allfrey’s method includes a foundation of bright colour, vital to the alive and iridescent undertone to his unique spin on floral still-life work. Acclaimed for his ability to “blend subjects” his florals contain an earthy masculinity, typically seen in traditional iterations of the subject such as vanitas, but without the heavy theatrics. Instead, his work is buoyant, lofty and ethereal, taking you in like a misty forest on dusk.

Bastian’s portfolio showcases a wide range of projects, including educational institutions, community centres, commercial spaces, and public installations, including high profile clients such as the Star Casino Brisbane and the NRL. He also has an extensive list of private commissions.
