ARTISTS TALK

Join renowned artist/curator Scott Redford and emerging artist Nic Plowman (Brisbane)  discuss their arts practice at 19 KAREN as part of the Gold Coast Contemporary Art Crawl.

Scott Redford (Gold Coast) draws upon his experiences growing up on the Gold Coast to explore different aspects of social identity. Nic Plowman was born in 1978 in Brisbane. In 2000 he graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Visual Arts where he subsequently was employed as a Studio Assistant in Painting and Drawing. Nic was an awardee of the USQ Parvis Nikdin Prize and his work was acquired for the University's Collection. Nic Plowman has worked as an art educator for many years, teaching aspiring artists from children and teenagers through to adults. Nic has  been included in some of Australia's most prestigious art prizes and is a two time finalist of the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Schloarship. Nic is repres
