LIGHTMARES

LIGHTMARES is an 8-week art program held at 19 KAREN involving on-site studio residencies, exhibitions, workshops, artist talks and street art painting. Over 50 artworks created at the gallery studio will be showcased 19 KAREN from 22 May-19 June 2010 featuring works by nine emerging Australian artists SUSAN SIMONINI, VITOR DOS SANTOS, GEORG WHELAN, HANNAH SMITH, WILL DUNCAN, ABIGAELWHITTAKER, MICHAEL CANDY, FIONA KENNEDY ALTOFT JESSE DOLMAN, and Berlin artist MYMO. This professional development program aims to 'shine a light' on cultural and creative exchanges between local and international artists, and the Gold Coast community.
