Mark Warren had a childhood most kids could only imagine in their wildest dreams. Growing up in Africa has heavily influenced Mark’s work. He uses bright colours, texture, quirky animals and figures to capture the imagination of an onlooker and take them somewhere else. Just like a chameleon, Mark experiments with his styles and mediums. He creates character in his paintings through layering and texturing using sand, bitumen and thick paint. Mark has exhibited extensively throughout South Australia and was the 2009 winner of the Port Lincoln Art Prize.
