Karina Rungenfelde was born in 1978 in USSR and spent her childhood growing up in the Soviet Union. After finishing her Master's degree in fine arts at the Art Academie in Latvia Karina got irresistibly inspired by Ukrainian folklore and fairytales; this is the inspiration for her work. Karina’s works appear in various private collections in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, England, Italy, Germany and Australia and she has an extensive CV of solo and group exhibitions dating back to 1997.
